Python 104: Automation Testing

Python is the preferred language when it comes to automation testing. It's easier to learn (compared to Java) and hence better choice for testers without technical background to pickup automation testing.

Who should attend?
  • Anyone who wants to learn about testing! It is not limited to those who are currently in testing.
What do you need?
  • Bring your own laptop
  • Install Python 3.6
  • Install Django here
  • Have basic knowledge in programming (preferably Python). Understand what variable, data types and basic data structures (i.e. list) is.
p.s. We will NOT allocate time for installation, attendees are expected to prepare beforehand.

  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Basic & Theory of Python Testing
    • Some demo on how to test your Python code with test code
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - Lunch
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Hands on Workshop
    • Build simple web app with Django
    • Hands-on session on writing test code to test the sample web app

We are very honored to have the speakers of PyCon 2016, Zaki Akhmad and Abdul Rahman (Aman) as our trainers! They both have a lot in common:-
  • Worked in xoxzo, a company that provides telephony APIs for the web (think Twilio) based in Tokyo
  • xoxzo employees have been working remotely since 2007 (6 cities across 3 countries)! KL (Aman), Zaki (Jakarta)
  • Big supporter in the Python community and PyCon APAC
  • Extensive experience in Python
